Thank you for taking the opportunity to learn more about our Brotherhood! I am often asked what sets our organization apart from others. First and foremost, the brotherhood of the organization sets us apart from many in the country. NAK moves beyond just an undergraduate experience. It is a moral code that changes your life forever. It is a world where Brotherhood, Honor, Integrity and thinking beyond ones self is etched into our existence as an organization. These qualities are demonstrated by our brothers everyday, not only in the classroom and the professional world, but most importantly, in the community.
It is these qualities that allow the leadership of our organization to continue to evolve as we approach our 20th anniversary. With this milestone forthcoming, we continue to innovate our business model while maintaining the qualities that have made our organization among the best in the country. The next chapter of our organization is quite simple. We will not focus on real estate or the other traditional avenues many Greek letter organizations venture into. We are in the business of developing the future generation of great leaders of our country. We will maintain our role as an organization into a strong alumni network. These commitments to our brotherhood will allow us to produce the next great teachers, doctors, attorneys, scientists, and public servants. We are investing in our community. We are investing in tomorrow.
Nu Alpha Kappa is often referred to as a Latino based Fraternity. In actuality, many of our chapters are composed of a diverse group of men, representing the diverse ethnic make up of our nation. I often think of our organization as the “Peoples” fraternity. We honor the sacrifices our ancestors made in order for people of color to have the opportunity to receive a college education. We honor them through our dedication to our community and the advancement of our people. With our eyes to the future, and our hearts in our community, Nu Alpha Kappa will continue to lead as Men of Mind… Men of Culture… Men of Pride.
