Nu Alpha Kappa Community Partners
Since our beginning in 1988, Nu Alpha Kappa has been committed to serving our community. The causes that NAK supports are
as diverse as the brotherhood, with each chapter serving a multitude of different causes. Each Chapter develops it’s
community at their University by becoming actively involved in both on-campus and off-campus events. During each chapters
establishment they form a long-term partnership with the local community in order to support the various needs of their
community. It is our mission to form long term Community Partners through our chapters so that our Brotherhood supports
the betterment of the communities and the people that live and work in the towns where our Chapters and brothers reside.
NAK has supported causes and raised awareness through work with organizations such as:
PADRES Contra El Cáncer (PADRES) brings together children, families, healthcare professionals and community leaders to promote a comprehensive understanding of childhood cancer and other blood disorders, as well as, effective methods for their treatment. We currently remain the only Latino organization of its kind operating within the United States. The success of our unique and inclusive program model is premised upon a health & education curriculum designed to be culturally–relevant, family–centered and community–based. All PADRES programs, activities and services, while oriented to the Latino community, serve childhood cancer patients from all races and ethnic origins. No family is turned away.
Our Chapters have formed long-standing relationships in their community and continue to offer their support to various
organizations both on and off campus.
