Today, we will be eliminating the "My Services" section of the NAKnet.org website. We are doing this as part of our transition to Google Apps, including nakinc.org e-mail service.
All profiles will be removed shortly after the services section is closed. We will automatically create accounts for those on the My Services section of NAKinc.org. Watch your e-mail, as details for this account (if you don't already have one) will be sent over in about 24 hours.
We encourage you all to take advantage of the new NAKinc.org web services provided by Google. These exciting services allow us to share documents, files, create groups, easy websites, forms and other functions to share data easily across the organization. We will continue to add brothers to the NAKinc.org services as requested. Our tests have proved that this service is easy to use as well as secure. Combine these services with the ease of use and storage capacity (nearly 7 GB) of Gmail, integration possibilities with Black Berry, Outlook and iPhone and IMAP, we have a fine suite of applications and information sharing services which is close to that of many large enterprises. You can even use nakinc.org with your current Gmail service if you desire. And all these services are being offered at little or no cost to Nu Alpha Kappa at this time. It is even easier to find brothers with a shared address book.
At the chapter level, the Google Groups application makes it a lot easier to share information for your chapter. You can create pages for your chapter, creating an "intranet" to allow safe storage and collaboration on documents.
For our alumni brothers, you can set your e-mail to "your.name @ alumni.nakinc.org" for your e-mail address for the extra touch of prestige.
Many brothers are already using this service, and are singing their praises. It has been an easy way to share information, have professional e-mail, separate NAK life from personal life, and gives you a way to filter out Blue and Trigger's incessant partisan politics.
