History
Pledgefest began at U.C. Santa Barbara (Zeta Chapter) in 1995 in order to continue to grow the organization of leaders and provide our prospective members the history of the NAK, the lifelong requirements of membership, and what makes a quality brother. We strongly believe that ideals of the organization should be taught to our prospective members at the early stages, to better fine-tune each individual into a better person and become a pillar of the community.
Purpose
This event exist to foster a sense of unity among all attending little brothers and brothers in order to develop lasting relationships, thus strengthening our inter-chapter bonds. This event allows the existing brotherhood to reflect on their experience as a little brother and continue to renew their commitments to the organization, and more importantly, themselves. This is a one of a kind activity for our organization as it represents our commitment to our goals of academics, culture, and brotherhood.
During PLEDGE Fest, our little brothers interact with their counterparts from the various NAK chapters. They spend the weekend participating in team-building activities, attend leadership seminars, and participate in community service activities.
Our little brothers greatly appreciate the opportunity to network with undergraduate and alumni brothers from other chapters, as well as members of the National Executive Board and National Alumni Association during this early stage of the NAK experience.
