Nu Alpha Kappa (NAK) Fraternity, Inc. has launched its first ever mobile application, the NAK App, which was originally announced in June 2024 at the National Leadership Development Conference in Sacramento, California. The NAK App project began in February 2024 and was created to give undergraduate members better access to the fraternity. The app was also created to give undergraduate members a better way to stay in contact with each other and the national board.
“The app is designed to provide undergraduate members with tools to enhance their fraternity experience,” said Sandro Aguilar, the app’s developer and NAK’s treasury controller and chief financial officer. “We are actively working on adding new features to expand its functionality and look forward to the feedback our members provide to make this a better experience for everyone.”
Currently, the app allows users to verify the active status of undergraduate members and includes a NAK digital ID, which members can use to confirm their affiliation. The digital ID will also streamline participation tracking at national events by scanning IDs. The app is free for undergraduates and available to alumni for a one-time small fee. Undergraduates can contact treasurer@nakinc.org or developer@nakinc.org for free account access.
Users must have a nakinc.org email account to use the app. Need a nakinc.org account? Get it online.
“What is great about the app is that undergrads have a voice in its development and we are working with them to develop features they want,” said Aguilar. “Moving forward, we will continue to invest in technology to improve efficiency, communication and deliver NAK resources in more accessible formats, while ensuring the fraternity stays up to date with the latest innovations.”
The app is currently on iOS and Android (search for “Nu Alpha Kappa”). To learn more about NAK, please visit the web. For questions about the NAK App, please contact Aguilar at treasurer@nakinc.org or developer@nakinc.org.
